I have been a part of the Ascend Psychological Services family since 2017. I graduated from UNCC in 2012 with a master’s degree in School counseling and a graduate certificate in Play Therapy. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), a Registered Play Therapist (RPT), and an NC Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHCS). You can learn more about EMDR here: https://www.emdria.org I have worked in the elementary school system as a professional school counselor and dedicated most of my career to working with children under the age of 10 and their parents. I am now shifting my primary caseload to work with parents around parenting stress and struggles and taking clients who want to improve their marriage. I will also do pre-martial counseling. On a personal note, I have been married for 35 years to my wonderful husband. We have raised 3 incredible children who are now ages 27, 25, and 23. Our two oldest children are now married and have begun families of their own. We have four precious grandchildren and one fun and sweet Golden Retriever named Kona. My life has been truly blessed in every way.
